How to Calculate Your GPA
Your Grade Point Average (GPA) is calculated by dividing the total number of quality points by the total number of credit hours. Each letter grade has a corresponding point value on a 4.0 scale: A = 4.0, B = 3.0, C = 2.0, D = 1.0, and F = 0.0. Plus and minus modifiers adjust by +0.3 or -0.3 respectively.
GPA Formula
GPA = Total Quality Points / Total Credit Hours
Where Quality Points = Grade Points x Credit Hours for each course. For example, an A (4.0) in a 3-credit course = 12.0 quality points.
